Connecting With Students

There are multiple ways I can connect with my students using technology inside and outside of the classroom. One way is creating a separate social media account, perhaps on Instagram so that students can follow it and see updates and other information from me on something they already use every day. Another way is to build a google classroom. Students can download the app on their phones to get updates about class or open it on their computers and can do homework and other assignments from there. Especially when someone is absent from school, they can use it to keep up with their class and be on track when they get back. Another idea is to create a website/blog for myself and my classroom. Students and even parents can look at it and stay up to date. I could even include a place where students can comment and connect with each other, like a discussion board.
